| Term | Meaning |

| Organization | The customer access boundary for accounts and workspace resources. |
| Identity tenant | The identity-provider boundary associated with one organization. It is not a selectable workspace switcher. |
| Member / membership | An identity's role and access status in an organization. |
| MFA / TOTP | Multi-factor authentication using time-based codes from an authenticator app. |
| Connection / database service | Saved configuration for accessing an external source. The UI may use both names. |
| Verified connection | A saved configuration with a successful connection test; not proof of ingestion. |
| Crawler / metadata scan | A task that discovers source structures such as schemas, tables, and columns. |
| Source Schema | The metadata snapshot produced by source discovery. |
| Pipeline / job | A graph describing a data workload, compiled into an executable form. |
| Saved version | A persisted pipeline or script revision; not unsaved editor changes. |
| Execution / run | One attempt to execute a workload, with status, timestamps, and logs. |
| Data Catalog | The platform view of managed databases and tables. |
| Database / namespace | The managed grouping selected for pipeline targets and table exploration; terminology can differ from the external source database. |
| Preview | A limited sample, not a complete export or row count. |
| Principal | The member or group to which a catalog access rule applies. |
| Grant | An ALLOW or DENY rule for named resources and selected permissions. |
| Descendants | Resources below a grant's named scope, such as tables within a schema. |
| Minder | The AI assistant available through Home when the chat service is configured. |
| MQTT adapter | Registration connecting a publishing configuration with the managed streaming path. |
| Tenant storage key | Operator-assigned streaming storage placement key; distinct from the identity tenant. |
| Bronze | The raw-data storage stage referenced by streaming placement details. |
| Control plane | The internal operator application used for organization onboarding and platform administration. |
